Dog Hotel Website in Churriana, Málaga

Best Practices
3 min readPor Daily Miranda Pardo

Today we launched the new website for a dog hotel located in Churriana, Málaga. A project born from a concrete need: a business with years of experience caring for pets, but with no digital presence that reflected that quality. The result is a fast, clear website focused on attracting local clients from day one.

The starting point: zero visibility in local searches

The dog hotel had a loyal client base built on word of mouth, but it didn't appear on Google when someone searched "dog hotel Málaga" or "pet boarding Churriana". In a sector where trust is everything, having no digital presence means losing customers who are looking for new options — especially tourists and new residents who don't know the business yet.

The main challenges were:

  • No functional website: there was no reference page where owners could see the facilities, prices or contact details.
  • No optimised Google Business profile: visibility on maps was practically zero.
  • No online differentiation: competitors in the area already had websites and active reviews.

What we built

The website is built with Next.js and deployed with load times optimised for mobile — which is where most pet owners search for these services.

Key pages and sections

  • Home page: hotel presentation, facilities gallery and clear calls to action to book or enquire.
  • Services: details of the available options (day stays, overnight stays, basic training).
  • Gallery: real images of the space, optimised with next/image for progressive loading.
  • Contact and bookings: direct form with validation and a WhatsApp link for immediate response.

Local SEO from day one

One of the pillars of the project was local positioning. We implemented:

  • Structured data of type LocalBusiness and AnimalShelter with name, address, opening hours and ratings.
  • Localised meta tags: title and description with geographic keywords ("Churriana", "Málaga", "western area").
  • Google Business integration: the website links to and complements the Google Maps listing.
  • Sitemap and robots.txt correctly configured so Google indexes all relevant pages.

Technical performance metrics

MetricResult
LCP (mobile)< 1.4 s
CLS0
INP< 80 ms
PageSpeed (mobile)95
PageSpeed (desktop)99

The site loads in under 1.5 seconds on standard mobile connections — a critical factor to avoid losing users before they see the first image.

What makes this project stand out

Beyond the numbers, what defines this project is its focus on trust. Pet owners don't hire a dog hotel the same way they hire a plumber: the process involves emotions, doubts and a need to see that the place is safe and welcoming. The website reflects this with:

  • Real photos of the space and the animals — no stock images.
  • Friendly, honest copy without unnecessary jargon.
  • Clear information on prices and the booking process, removing friction before the first phone call.

Conclusion

This project is an example of what a local business can achieve when it combines a strong value proposition with a well-built digital presence. The Churriana dog hotel now has the digital infrastructure to grow: a website that converts, solid local SEO and a user experience designed to build trust.
